About Mortgage Calculator Quest

Mortgage Calculator Quest is a set of free UK mortgage calculators: repayments, how much you can borrow, stamp duty, overpayments, tracker versus fixed, first-time buyers and buy-to-let. It is run by a small UK team founded by Dan Keegan, and it is written to be useful first: plain answers, sources named, nothing invented.

How the calculators work

Every calculator runs in your browser. We don't ask for your name or contact details, and nothing you type is sent to us. Average rates come from Moneyfacts, Bank Rate from the Bank of England, house prices from the UK House Price Index and tax rules from GOV.UK and HMRC; each page links to its sources and says when the figures were last checked. We are not a lender or a mortgage broker, and nothing here is regulated financial advice.
